Polar Transitional Biomes on [Astraeus b] exist between the main habitable zones and the extreme polar regions. These areas experience some of the most dramatic shifts between extended daylight and extended darkness.
The [Biosphere] division tracks conditions in these transitional biomes. Data from these areas is used to support environmental monitoring and coordination with the [Planetary Emergency Operations Center].
